Call for Safe Drinking Water for Everyone

A Petition to the UNITED STATES CONGRESS AND THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY by Water Keepers Alliance

The EPA’s “see no evil” behaviour when it comes to identified health threats in our water all over America needs to stop!! The EPA  must be forced, it seems, to perform the mandate they were given to protect the public from exactly theses threats it seems  not to see or care about taking action on!!

Throughout the United States, many people do not feel safe drinking their tap water. Unfortunately, these concerns are well-founded. Polluters are releasing dangerous contaminants into groundwater and waterways, endangering drinking water and increasing treatment costs. Not only is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) slow to identify and set standards for new drinking water threats, action on known pollutants in drinking water is abysmally slow.

Join us in calling for EPA and Congress to address this problem. To clean up our ongoing drinking water disasters and avoid new ones, we must protect source water, expedite the creation of protective standards, invest in new infrastructure, and support the precautionary principle for potential new contaminants.
